Looking at buying a new hardtail, specifically a Vitus Sentier VR. I can't decide on whether to go with 27.5 or 29. The only reasons I'm considering the 27.5 are that it has 10mm more fork travel and 2.6" wide tires, both of which seem like benefits to me. The 29er has 2.35" tires and a 130mm fork, and as a result it weighs less. What would you guys recommend?

What type of riding, more dh ish or more jumping. I would go 29er as it will smooth out the trail better. 29ers are harder to turn or flick around but otherwise better.

Singletrack and small jumps mostly. Nothing too big, I'm not at that level yet, so no huge jumps or anything.

If you're doing nothing too big, small jumps and singletrack. 27.5 is infinitely more fun.
