Does size matter?

im new to dirt jumpers. i have a friend who is selling me his dj bike. i ride a medium on my regular mtb. but the bike he is selling is a small... i test rode it and it felt good... does size matter?

If it feels good, and the front tire isn't hitting your feet when you turn the bars, go for it. As with snowboards, sizing is just a recommendation and should be considered after personal preference. I'm 5'10, and one of my bikes is a small.
