Mud, Wheels and Electricity in Collide in Leogang

E-MTB Cross Country World Champs took place today in Leogang. It was *interesting* and definitely muddy with extremely tricky conditions. Watching live timing indicated that the race was pretty spread out. The top of the pile held their own as true bike practitioners while some of the field didn't fair very well. In the end, Thomas Pidcock stalked Jerome Gilluax for most of the race and broke free to a gold medal near the end of the hour-long Men's race. Melanie Pugin won Women's by 37 seconds, making EWS racers proud. Sven Martin, @maddogboris and Dan Hearn took home gold of their own through these photos. Enjoy?

With no spectators allowed on site, just medics, media and other riders were able to cheer on the e-bike racers today.

Another from the Enduro World Series decided to give EMTB World Champs a chance. Worked out pretty well for Melanie Pugin! Gold Medal for the French rider!.

You probably noticed Charlie Murray in our last EWS slideshows. Unfortunately the Kiwi didnt get the chance to race Downhill so he decided to race EMTB at least.

Tom Pidcock adds another title to his resume. Already wining in CX, Road he now holds the E-XC-MTB World Champion title. Tour De France in his near future too? Good to see he has proper skills, not just a big engine.
