The Month's Best MTB Shots | Vital MTB Photo Comp

The exclusive Vital MTB Photo Comp, reserved for members only, is a monthly photo competition with prizes awarded to the picture that receives the most votes, as well as one randomly selected member who voted for the winning shot. This month, Mariusz Gadziemski's wonderfully lit shot took home a hard fought victory at the polling station, much to the delight of Vital member mattcorbett_nz, our lucky voter. Mariusz takes home the derailleur and shifter, and Matt nabs the handlebar/stem combo - both prize packs from BOX Components!

THE RESULTS:

For The Winning Photographer - A Box One Rear Derailleur and PushPush Shifter

The all-new Box One rear derailleur features "CamClutch" technology, a clutch mechanism that uses a clever, one-way friction plate to increase tension as the cage moves forward and release tension as it travels back. The "Pivot Tech" design works to prevent damage in the event of crashes or trail-side impacts through the use of a spring loaded cable stop. With a maximum tooth count of 46, the Box One rear derailleur can easily handle today’s gear ratios and wide range cassettes.

The Box One PushPush shifter is a thumb-activated unit that uses only one lever - push the lever forward to shift down and push the lever inward to shift up to a higher gear. With an all thumb activation, the index and middle fingers are now free to apply more consistent power at the brake lever, increasing precision and improving control. When riding varied terrain, as many as four downshifts can be made at once, ensuring the ability to maintain cadence while climbing.

For The Lucky Voter - A Box One DH Handlebar and Cusp Stem

Box One DH handlebars are designed for those riders who prefer the widest possible cockpit setup. These bars feature a thicker layup made of 100% unidirectional carbon fiber and a proprietary shaped profile that incorporates flat surfaces and raised shoulders to enhance rigidity without sacrificing weight.

Box Cusp stems combine the enhanced stiffness of an oversized, 35mm clamp interface with a robust and versatile design that meets the needs of a multitude of users. Designed with modern frame geometries in mind, Cusp stems are available in three different lengths, making them ideal for today’s trail rider.
