Jacob Dickson's Giant Glory Advanced

It may be Jacob Dickson's first year on Giant Factory Off-Road, but the youngster has already seen his fair share of accomplishments. As a four-time Junior National Champion in Ireland and a UCI Downhill Junior Championship bronze medalist, Jacob is starting the 2017 season on a new team and a fresh bike, a Giant Glory Advanced, which gets the full SRAM treatment.

Jacob, who couldn't tell us how much travel his frame or fork utilize, may not be the most particular WC racer when it comes to geeking out on bike parts, but that doesn't mean he's not keen on setup. Preferring a very supple off-the-top yet progressive setup as far as suspension goes, it's clear he also prefers an all-coil setup based on his choice of a Vivid R2C coil and BoXXer Team. Helping to get that coil-sprung suspension ramping hard, he uses shorter springs from Super Alloy Racing, who's products have been seen under the likes of both Finn Iles and Loic Bruni. Jacob's also very particular about his brake lever setup, which he gets into during our brief interview with him. Listen in as John Lawlor chats with Jacob and check out the details of his bike, below.
