The Cube Global squad is aboard some prototype 29er DH bikes at Mont-Sainte-Anne this weekend. Greg Williamson (who just won British National Champs) and Max Hartenstern are racing the bikes for the first time. It's a completely new bike, built from the ground up to accommodate the larger wheels. Bar height, BB and seat-to-bar measurements were considered and made as close to the 27.5 bikes as possible. Matt Walker discusses the project a bit in the audio, but unfortunately he suffered a dislocated shoulder during some bike testing and isn't racing this weekend. They're running FOX 49 forks with prototype DT Swiss wheels and Schwalbe Magic Mary tires. Check it out and do some armchair analysis. -by @maddogboris
