Footage of a reverse run in the Jerra (Jerrabomberra) bushland single-track. This section starts from the top of the ridge of the roughly West-East running section on the Northern side of the Jerra tracks. Hi to all the nameless riders that I bumped into during this ride. Thanks for inadvertently participating in my YouTube vids. Cheers and keep on riding.
This is another bit of footage shot in the unofficial MTB singletrack area in the Jerrabomberra bushland, just South of Queanbeyan (Canberra Region) Australia. This is a reverse run along the Quarry fence line running roughly East to West with a minor fall and ends with (although not obvious) a chain break on my bike. Thanks to my handy chain break tool, I was able to repair the chain and ride out, instead of a very long walk back to the car.
Jerrbomberra natural bush single track. This section runs roughly East-West and it is for me the first section of the "Jerra" (thats worth filming anyway) and is a greater film coverage of my previous clip entitled "Canberra Region-Jerrabomberra Bushland BikeFrameCam 1st Section". Although this clip covers the same section, it covers a greater section of the track. I extend my thanks to those that have created and maintained these unofficial tracks. A job well done.
Jerrbomberra natural bush single track. This section runs South-North along the Eastern section of the "Jerra" track. Starts from the South-Eastern corner near the Quarry and is the commencement of the "Off Camber" section of the track, running along this section being such a steep bank off to one side, always creates the feeling in me as a rider of being forced off the side of the hill.
The final section of the Jerrbomberra natural bush single track. This run takes you along the last section of the track (for me anyway), running South-North along the Eastern side of the "off camber" part of the track. Finally ending after a fast run with a pop-out and exit from the bush at the Dam (teh DAMN end) close to Nimbus Place (of Candlebark Rd) in Karabar/Queanbeyan.
Another section of the Jerrbomberra natural bush single track. This run takes you along a section of the Eastern side of the hill, along the "Off Camber" section and runs South to North from the Quarry. There is some farly loose scree sections of this track that provide a little bit of skill and control excitement.
Yet another section of the Jerrbomberra natural bush single track. This run takes you along a roughly North- South run along thethe Western side of of the area closest to "Jerra" , on the far Western side closest to the "Jerra" housing development. There are not exceptional features to this section but it does have some nice flowy speed sections and is a nice ride in general.
Shot in what I consider to be the first section in the Jerrabomberra bushland "unofficial" MTB single track. It is located just south of Queanbeyan (Canberra Region) in in rural NSW Australia. The area weaves through the native Eucalyptus (gum tree) forest. My thanks to those unknown faces that are continually maintaining the track.
Stromlo Forest Park - MTB singletrack. A different perspective, shot from a frame mount on my bike. Starting from Echidna Gap on top of the ridge at Mt Strromlo and taking the left fork onto the Western Wedgetail, straight across at Wedgetail Junction, along the top of the ridge. Then re-crossing the fire trail to Slick Rock then ending with the Pork Barrel.
A downhill run taken from the top right hand corner (near the Vineyard) of the Majura Pines tracks. Becuase Stromlo has been a bit wet and boggy with all the recent rain, it was time to take a break from that area. So I decided to hit Majura as I hadnt been out there for a while. Despite this area also having a few wet and boggy sections it was mild compared to Stromlo.
Mt Stromlo Nature Park MTYB Singletrack - This is not a very exciting bit of MTB but I have chosen to upload it mainly due to the great chance sighting of a number of Kangaroo's on the track as I was passing the Road Riding Track circuit, see footage @ approximately 3 Minutes 31 seconds. It was a good sighting. This footage commences from the "Old Duffy descent" comes down past the main car park, to the paparazzi section of track. Then through the fence line into the road riding circuit where soon after you will see the "Roos". Enjoy!!!
The Crash Video - Yeah OK I have uploaded a similar video to this previously, although this one skips the Rollecoaster section, and commences from the Skyline to Luge etc. However it does include my first Crash (Stack) footage that I promised to show my big brother when it happened for the first time since I got my Helmet Cam. So anyway Bro here it is. Although the stack itself may not rate as spectacular, it is at least semi decent. See footage at approx 4 mins and 2 seconds. Enjoy!!!
A slight variation on from my other YouTube video "Mt Stromlo Single Tracks Rollercoaster to Skyline to Luge " this is a variation to the Stromlo Forest Parks MTB Singletrack covering the Luge, The Old Duffy Descent Track back to the car park. Commencing once again from the Echidna Gap Junction but instead of taking the right fork, take the left to the Western Wedgetail. This passes down the Western side of the hill but rather than continuing the full track, as it nears the fire trail down the hill, pass back across the fire trail to rejoin the Skyline...
This bit of track runs from the top of the Red Hill reserve (near the suburb of Garran) down towards the Canberra Hospital and terminates at the top end of Gaunt Place opposite the hospital. Although not technically singletrack or a specific Mountain Bike riding track it is a challenging struggle up the hill with the reward of a fun downhill run. This is the downhill run of the track.
A follow on from my other YouTube video "Mt Stromlo Single Tracks Rollercoaster to Skyline to Luge " this is the final section to the Stromlo Forest Parks MTB Singletrack covering the Luge, The Old Duffy Track and then continuing on down past the car park through the underpass to the Paparazzi Track. An overview PDF map can be found at this location here: http://www.stromloforestpark.com.au
