Tbo Added a reply to 29r or MX??
2/10/2024 8:35pm Im sure somebody already mentioned it, but there is a whole lot more to the rear of the bike than just the size of the wheel. CS length, axle path, BB drop, ebike all play in to how a particular rear wheel feels. Then you have to factor in what your terrain is. A bike, the rider, and the terrain...

Tbo Added a comment about press release BikeYoke Launches the Barkeeper Stem, Topper and Aimy Accessories
3/16/2022 5:47am yup. been running the ProblemSolvers Locking Headset Spacer for years, on all my bikes. It's a 5mm unit. I find it most useful when traveling with my bikes. Rather than removing the bars from the stem to back the bike it the travel bag, i remove the bars and stem together. The Locking Headset spacer maintains headset preload and serves as a reference for remounting the stem. The process requires way less futzing about than removing the bars from the stem.

Tbo Added a comment about press release Stan’s Introduces Wheels With New M-pulse Hubs
1/12/2022 5:24am magnets do result in less parasitic drivetrain friction....until they fall out of those little pawls secondary to continuous vibration. On my P321 hubs, this happened twice. On the 3rd failure, I stripped the drive ring out of the hub shell. P321 is a great company and had 1st class customer service, but hub failures are one of the most painful failures to deal with, especially if they entail relacing the wheelset. Maybe I am an outlier....but the only hub that I havent trashed is a CK hub (Onyx, P321, I9, DT, etc all included) Unlike P321 and I9, the CK...

Tbo Added a comment about video Aaron Gwin Shows You How To Use Your Feet During Braking

there is nothing level about his pedals with this technique. his feet and cranks might be level, but the trailing edge of his pedals is lower than the leading edge of his pedals.

9/27/2019 5:24am Ever wonder why DH reaches aren't following the trend of trail bikes? As you point a bike downhill, effective reach grows....too much of a good thing may be the case when stuff starts yo get really steep...

9/26/2019 10:09am I have an S4 in replacement of my 180 Stamina. Bleeding the rear brake right now for a shakedown ride this afternoon. From a geo standpoint, the Poles are around 20mm reach per "size." Longer chainstays as well. Looks like Enduro can be overshocked to get similar rear travel. It will accept a 180mm fork, and in the low position should be similar HA to the Poles. I will say this: I LOATHE Specialized for internal routing. More to Follow.

9/26/2019 8:34am Unfortunately Pole has both bikes back in their possession and there is no way to recover my $277 from US customs.
