watched a podcast with yt new owner and he talked about how much margin they were giving yt usa, I wonder if this whole bankruptcy was a way to get back the us market.
Not mechanical, not aftermarket, not interested.

at road races almost half the issues are due to wireless shifting its annoying as a mechanic I gotta get people to download a app and "refresh" a derailleur, just stop making junk whats weirder is the average customer legit thinks transmission is better than xx1 mechanic even though it weights a crap load and it has unreliable bluetooth connections but yeah you can stand on it I guess?

Crappy day for MTBing industry. More wireless shifting with some questionable decisions. Bike completely built around wireless shifting with a 5k+ minimum build. More proprietary shocks that may have a cool theory but won't exist or be relevant in 5-10 years. Patiently waiting for Spesh to release an alloy trail bike that combines the old stumpy, stumpEVO, and Status line up that is ACTUALLY budget minded. Something similar to the alloy Chisel model. So they tried to make their (probably) best selling MTB more versatile (=> for the masses) and gave it a proprietary shock and cancelled mechanical drivetrains. Does that make any sense???
