The Big Fat Larry isn't the best cornering tire. Too round and not enough knobs. Surly is releasing two new 4.7" knobby tires in the near future. Phil Wood is just showing that indeed it is possible to make a FS fat bike. Superior float +

The wheels are 100mm Surly Clown Shoes with 4.7" Big Fat Larry tires. Same as on a stock Surly Moonlander. Anyone who thinks a fat-downhill-bike is a joke hasn't ridden a fat bike. Such a build is truly god-like. DEAL WITH IT.

Big props to Bannister! Most people can't even do this kind of riding with a complete and healthy body. I've ridden downhill short distances while nursing an arm after crashing on my shoulder (why twice on the same shoulder? BAH). None of it was easy nor very pleasant... and I was sitting for most of it. lol I'd like to see what kind of arm-like harness suspension prosthetic could be made to give such people more stability without creating too much rigidity in movement.
