those early Spox wheels used Vectran fiber. It continued to stretch over time, not ideal for wheels. The new PBO fiber has almost Zero "creep" or elongation under tension over time so the wheels almost never need to be trued

According to thier website, the PBO spokes are a "Flexible High-strength Zylon Fiber." Basically something similar to a small diameter rope. I've heard good things about them, but I haven't had the chance to try them myself.
