I have a 30.9 revive in 160mm stroke. I’ve clamped it in my own (wrench force) stand many times without any damage. I’m tempted to replace mine with a 185mm unit as I have the room but I’m finding it hard to justify spending the $ for something that has essentially been problem-free from day one. If I have one thing I’d change about this post it’d be that bikeyoke add height reference marks on the lower/outer tube.

I think that you’re misunderstanding what bikeyoke are saying in the PR. They’re not saying that they have the first dropper to fit a 34.9 seattube without a shim.
