General lee: thanks! I broke off the rebound shaft of my axon fork a while ago and was trying to find a replacement for it. I never knew this site existed. Sun tour is back on my radar as a viable fork for my bikes again just because of this.

If youve ever pulled apart the regular plastic jockey wheels on a lower end deraillure you will see that it's just an axle with a metal " bushing." Tons of grit gets in there and you will feel a significant amount of friction as it gets dirtier. The plastic wheels also develop slight play from wear and that can affect...

Really good review. Only thing it left me wondering was about the serviceability of the fork. I've had subroutine forks in the past and finding replacement parts (oils, seals, service "kits") was impossible. If I'm dropping 550 on this fork I want it to last 3 years. Which means I will need to service the air spring and the dust seals. Any news on if suntour will make these available? Or at least if they will post the spec so we can go 3rd party?

A budy of mine rides a single speed 26 fully rigid mtb. He used to race track bikes so he's got tree trunk legs and can just barely keep up with me on the trails (I'm riding a geared hardtail). It's super impressive that he can keep up with me as much as he does though. I have riden some...

Does your maintainable regimen change if you hose wash the bike? After washing regimen: Right now I'm doing a full clean and lube of the drivetrain (includes pulling off the jockey gears), clean and lube stanchions, relube pedal pivots. Between washing: Clean and lube drivetrain. About every 6 months I do a full teardown.
