@jeff.brines my experience and tuning are the same, your synopsis is pretty spot on. Also I find if you run less tokens and get the balance just right, you can reduce the LSC and increase HSC to achieve a even smoother and supported ride. Faster rebound too, which goes against normal damping theory. I'd take the coil for breakaway force, reliability, consistency and its linear rebound characteristics

Not sure why your getting down voted bud. Myself and many others I know and don't know have had the same poor experience with them. Not to say other companies haven't had here problems either. At the end of he day it's more about how you address your frailties and in Commencals case it has taken a while to bring up that QC..

Max Commencal or one of the best sales rep of the industry. Let's cut the crap here guys! If Commencal was losing ground on its home turf -the french market back then- it was because reliability was so problematic. Everyone in the industry in France still call Commencal 'Commence Mal', which means 'Starts badly' in french. You want a bike that creaks like hell? Buy a commencal. Their bikes work well though, but I still expect the worse when it comes to reliability when I read Commencal on the down tube.

I just gave what I think is a different but honest opinion about Commencal. Since the introduction of the V3 platform reliability is on par with the competition. But just go and talk to a long time mechanic in France about Commencal, you'll be surprised! Brand X, Y or Z ain't the point. The point is that for a decade Commencal did so little to address the reliability problems their bikes were plagued with, that many french bike shops stopped supporting the brand. Yes some big names in the industry pushed some small brands out of the game. But the...

just give us in the UK a service centre and some gd customer service and BOS will see massive sales. Same goes for Marzocchi. Mojo are the main reason Fox do so well here.
