Haha, I was in Grand Rapids this past weekend, and it sure didn't look like this. We were racing indoor BMX because it was 10 degrees F outside.

Sounds like the next step in the "short stem, wide bar" movement in all mountain riding. Basically updating the rest of the bike's geometry to optimize that concept. I'd love to ride one, but I know I'll never find a Mondraker dealer anywhere near where I live.

Definitely bummed that Red-bull basically boned freecaster on this deal, but I kind of thought it was stupid to have two separate series that are basically the same just because of broadcasting disputes.

Hmm... cool idea, but how about interchangeable bits? Why only 4mm allen OR T25 torx? Seems like it would be simple enough to equip it with the normal hex bit system found on multi-bit screwdrivers.

Very cool... probably the first gear-box bike that I would actually consider purchasing (if they weren't so expensive, haha). Definitely like that it's just a Shimano Alfine mounted in the frame rather than some proprietary gearbox that nobody has a clue how to work on.

11/1/2011 11:43am Oh, man. Got a couple of good stories about friends recovering stolen rides... Both took place in Ann Arbor, MI, a college town where bike theft is all too common. The first was a friend who had just finished building a bright blue Kona Cowan DS... not too many of those around at that point as they had just come...
