Broke 2 Enve DH wheels this season in four rides...I race CAT 1 so not the fastest nor the slowest rider. Best wheels to ride on, YES! Confidence in Enve's quality control, ZERO! And they claim a two day turn around for warranties, NOT. I hope they get things back on track. I really love the wheels, but I'm getting pretty frustrated.

Every time I have run into a hiker in the above Barr camp sections they did one of two things, moved and cheered, or wanted me to stop so they could look at my bike and talk. The only problems I have ever had with hikers is below where the Barr meets with the top of the incline trails. I'm extra cautious in that area and patient; however, there is a line people shouldn't cross. I had a guy grab me and try to make me fall and told me f$$k mountain bikers. He assumed I would keep going, but...

Growing up in Manitou Springs at the foot of Pike's Peak, this is one of my favorite hometown places to ride. So much fun! And so many options to connect to and from other trails. Oh, sweet Pike's Peak.

If you think the video part is gnar, you should check out the first three miles of trail down from the summit. All above tree line and super double extra whammy GNAR. I've ridden it and run both the Pike's Peak Ascent and Marathon. It's one tough mountain but you will love it to the depths of your soul once you've partaken of its granitey goodness.

The reason I'm moaning and groaning in the vid is because of those first three miles lol. I had footage, but my goggles were on my neck and messed it up. I will be going back up soon and try filming again

Bro, I know that all the moaning is funny, but I honestly don't think a lot of people have experienced sustained knar. Yeah there are sections of knar at parks, but this trail as a good 5 miles straight of that. This was a smoother section. It beats you down in the matter of seconds and the next day all you want to do is sleep lol. I'm glad someone finally recognized how rough it really is. Of course the vid downgrades it, but I figured all the noises told the true story lol...cheers

Yes you are allowed. There are tree huggin hikers that will lie and say you are not, but 100% legal. Yes, I got dropped off at the top. If you want to use a big bike shuttling is the only way to go for a top to bottom run.

Ok I was tired as ever using this run as a training run. It is a total of a 8k descent starting at 14k. This smalll portion was at 12k and most of my body was numb already. Yup, I moan and groan a lot and have no shame so not hurting my feelings
I'm only CAT 2 rider, but I did win the past two rounds at Trestle moaning and groaning as well. Didn't realize when I ride I'm competing for America's next top model....
