I found a previous generation of this helmet to fit pretty large as well. My son was at the small end of the small and the helmet was ENORMOUS on him. A Bell that theoretically had a larger minimum size worked perfectly fine. The Leatt was a nice helmet though, just fit large.

They just released the Spindrift? An ebike version of that? Or something more like the 5010? But then what's the "It's huge" part about?

Jill, Vero, Martha, Bex, Casey, Phil, Brendog, Blenki, Kade, Wyn, the whole Pivot crew (I've left out many others but you get the idea) who highlight the joy and fun we get from bikes are who I like to watch. Watching racing is fun but I'm not ever gonna race a World Cup. F*cking around on bikes with my friends, crashing, laughing like loons and having a blast is what makes me interested in their sponsors. Phil on Vee tires? I will absolutely try those even though I'll never be 10% as skilled as Phil. /apologies for the derail

1/20/2021 12:41pm I've been pretty open in this thread about it being the one I care about most. :-) I basically like all of the DH field, but is trade a lot of fast, professional, if sometimes mechanical, riders for Phil's drifting, hucking wildman show.

1/14/2021 2:37pm I just saw a GT Factory racing van turn up the road to my home trails (Bootleg Canyon, NV) with some people inside dressed in what seemed to be full kit. Given that all of GT's factory riders are European, I'm curious who they might have out here testing.

I really have no idea what to believe at this point, so I guess I'll have to subscribe to his channel...hooked! The unannounced rider I'm most curious about is Phil Atwill. GT with Wyn? He got a mention on Wyn's IG lately.

The only thing that I don't love about the Marins (on paper) is the relatively short chainstays for the XL size that I'd be on. 425mm for 1252 wheelbase (Rift Zone) and 430 for a 1298 wheelbase (Alpine Trail) seem a bit on the short side for balance, but I'd love to give them a test ride and see if I felt that when I was on the bike. They look awesome and seem like a great value.
