@ Jerry_A: The Kona and Ellsworth may look a lot the same but they behave differently. The key distinction is that there are two pivots between the rear axle and the main frame at the bottom (and top) of the Ellsworth linkage and only one at the bottom of the Kona. This means that the way pedaling interacts with the suspension and vice versa will be determined entirely by the position of the one pivot ahead of the axle on the Kona.
