iceman2058 Added a new video Danny Macaskill Endless Light in Norway - Bosch eBike Systems
9/13/2026 4:35am
I’ve always dreamed of heading to Norway to ride it's huge granite slabs. So this summer, I got a crew of friends together and headed north on a filming trip to experience the midnight sun for ourselves. I couldn’t imagine a better way to explore this incredible landscape of Narvik than on the Santa Cruz Vala eMTB. It was definitely a trip for the books! Thanks to Bosch Ebike Systems for the support making this project happen - My Santa Cruz Vala CC equipped with the Bosch Performance line CX motor was the perfect bike for this trip. With the...
iceman2058 Added a reply to 120-130mm forks
9/12/2026 3:21am We did a 140mm fork test comparing 34 to 36 a while ago that seems relevant to this discussion: https://www.vitalmtb.com/videos/member/trail-bike-fork-selection-34-vs-… TLDR: the Fox 36SL is certainly stiffer than the 34, but it also rides significantly harsher. I could never quite get it to the point where I was happy with the comfort/support tradeoff (I always ended up with a slightly...

iceman2058 Added a new video MIRAGE - Kilian Bron
9/11/2026 2:42am
This adventure began in 2022 with a first film shot in the Dolomites, followed by a second one in Nepal, in the Dolpo valley. Three films, one crew : Valentin Birant, Pierre Henni and Pierre Vieira, my media team of filmmakers and photographers who follow me on every expedition. These films showcase the beauty of my sport and the signature I've built over the past few years: raw, alpine riding, demanding, adventurous, often exposed mountain biking, in the spirit of the Dolomites, on those cliff-edge trails and vertiginous lines. But beyond the riding itself, what we share with this crew...

iceman2058 Added a new video Pisgah Magic | TRAIL TALES
9/10/2026 7:42am
'Pisgah Magic' explores how mountain biking became a way to regain a sense of normality following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. Pisgah National Forest is a vast natural area in the Appalachian Mountains, renowned for its extensive network of roads and mountain bike trails. For many, however, it is much more than just a trail network. A community deeply connected to the land has grown around this special place, bringing together riders, trail builders, volunteers, associations and local businesses who work to protect it and keep its trails open. That connection took on even greater significance in September 2024...

iceman2058 Started a new thread Yeti Introduces the Lunchride Version of the ASR
9/9/2026 6:36pm With downcountry growing ever more popular, it was just a matter of time before Yeti gave their ASR cross-country bike the "Lunch Ride" treatment, turning up the rowdiness dial a bit while maintaining the lively pedaling characteristics and low weight of a bike originally made to chase miles and kilometers. The new build gets a bigger fork and a new...

iceman2058 Added a new video DEITY: DESERTION featuring Tyler McCaul
9/8/2026 9:52am
“There is an innate purity in discomfort, and something to be said for the solace found in solitude. There is something inside my DNA that craves exploration, and I can’t imagine living without it. In my mind, monotony is not only the killer of creativity but also the killer of motivation. Sometimes, for me, a change of environment and a change of scenery is all that’s needed when monotony starts to creep in. Projects like these always begin with exploration. Long days of wandering unfamiliar places eventually become days of building, testing, filming, and countless takes until everything comes together...
