Whitefish is ass. I lived there last year. Completely neglected trail maintenance. Lack of development of new trails. Backwards trail design methods that are the complete opposite of Gravity Logic, Terraflow, Alpine, etc. Poor LBS options. They can't be bothered digging out trails to open up the upper mountain. Hell, locals even got so fed up with Foley, the new mountain owner's B.S. they created Legacy, a shuttle bike park 45 minutes south on Flathead lake. This place is a joke, and I promise you, visit and you will not see anything resembling a local DH scene.
