11/4/2013 7:32am That would be the Swagman or Arbutus racks then. My only concern is the twisting side load on the wheels on those racks. I'm no mechanical engineer though so not sure if it is really an issue.

11/3/2013 1:38pm I agree. Not real keen about hanging my bikes from their carbon bars. I like the idea of the vertical racks though. Don't really like how North Shore Racks hang from the crown of your fork. We have a hard enough time keeping those from becoming creaky. North Shore Racks also don't work real well if at all for road bikes so that is a deal killer for me. I have both road and mtbs to get around. The Swagman Jackknife and Arbutus racks show potential but I'm leery of the bikes weight being supported laterally on the front wheel...

11/1/2013 3:50pm Lol! Get off the roids dude! Thanks for the info. I guess 65-70 psi with no tokens for me at 170lbs ready to ride isn't too bad then. I might need to play with the LSC a little more. I feel like I have a little more brake dive then I would like but I don't want to go stiffer since I am already hitting 20-25% sag. I'm not sure sag is a great way to set up a fork anymore either.

11/1/2013 1:19pm Krispy, do you mind me asking your ready to ride weight and the pressure you are running? I don't do much park riding but I have been doing a lot of enduro/all-mountain type riding on my Firebird 27.5 with a 160 Pike. I'm about 170lbs +/- ready to ride.

11/1/2013 9:24am Yes, I have played with them a bit. Need to play with them more. I have two that came with the fork. I liked the idea of the more linear rate but if it eats up all my travel then that's no bueno. I was trying to see how well I could set things up with no tokens first. All the reviews I have read the riders say they didn't feel a need for the tokens. Every rider is different though.

11/1/2013 8:42am Thanks. I have found that is I try to set the pressure to get about 25% sag (roughly in the 60-65 psi range) then the Pike really uses all its travel with the o-ring always at the top of the stanchion even when I don't feel like I have hit anything gnarly enough to call for that much travel. I never feel like there was a harsh bottom out though so maybe it is a good thing to see it using all of its travel like that. I was just wondering if others a seeing it go through its travel...

10/31/2013 2:23pm Balfaboy, I have the 160mm Pike 27.5 on my Firebird. I alos weight aobut 170 ready to ride. What setting have you settled on for your enduro/all-mountain style riding? (Pressure & resulting sag, LSC clicks, rebound) I have been playing around with presures ranging from 55 - 70 psi with sags between 20% - 30%.
