Added a comment about news blog RESULTS: Aaron Gwin, Jill Kintner Earn 2013 U.S. National Championship Downhill Victories 8/5/2013 6:17 AM

Vital! Disappointed you guys can't even keep the U.S. National Champs results on top of the news feed for a single day, nor as a headline article... Your web mag is perhaps in the best position to hype U.S. racing and must accept some responsibility for the poor turnout of fans and racers at Nationals. Good photos, appreciate the article but please do more to keep our elite downhill scene alive and well. Invest, let's get some interviews, video, hype the women's field (their results were available on USA Cycling last night before this article went live...)
Love you guys, please help keep DH racing in the U.S. alive.

Added a new video June: So Long Lopes - 12 Months From The Redwood Curtain 7/5/2012 2:34 AM

Part 6: The only constant in life is change. Sadly here in the Pacific Northwest change often manifests itself in the destruction of a beloved trail. This June we discovered that half our one of our favorite trails, "Lopes", had already been logged and was going fast. We came back that weekend with the camera and a fervor to get the most out of what remained. This is not The Greatest Video in the World, no. this is just a tribute. This section is a tribute and a documentation of a wonderful and ancient trail. Creating this piece has eased the passing tremendously, however the logging continues. Let us all do our part to fight for, enjoy, share and preserve our magical wilderness areas.

Added a new video May: P-Town - 12 Months From The Redwood Curtain 6/7/2012 3:35 PM

Part 5: May. School's out for the summer, and that meant it was time to get outta dodge for a few days. Wandered down to a place where the trails are finer, to shake off some of the rust accumulated whilst riding too much road this winter. Found ourselves in Pacifica, USA with a few days to play and explore the fantastic terrain the well known Montero Mountain has to offer. Though we exhausted ourselves trying, crushed one wheel and contracted a little poison oak we couldn't touch everything on the well endowed mountain, but survived to share the trails. Enjoy scenes from the only place foggier than home Humboldt County, P-Town. Featuring native P-Town shredder Amir Mendel. See Previous Episodes @ https://vimeo.com/user2887154 2012 is an important year. To observe this turning point in human existence PirateRIDE has undertaken a special project to highlight where we're from in case it all gets taken out by a giant asteroid next December. "12 Months From The Redwood Curtain" is a 12 part project, producing one section each month for the next year to share the flavor of rural northern California. No way to know yet where these sections will lead. Unscripted, unplanned, and unprecedented "12 Months..." is going to be an exciting journey into the riding of the north west backwoods. Hi Vital, Was stoked on the Sam Hill series to be of a few weeks ago... theories abound. Did I miss a press release? The Sam story seems to have been pulled? Am I delusional? Did specialized put the skids on the up close and personal look at our sports ... more »
