2/1/2024 11:07am Shattered my heel, got 9 screws and a plate put in. Doc recommended keeping it in unless I experience any hardware pain. Goal is to leave it in forever, but all based on future pain. At this point I am 5 months out from surgery and do not have any hardware pain, just some minor ankle stiffness in the mornings...
