Hi Morpheous, I know it's not super clear, but "2. "no effect on the bikes performance"?" is when you take the Mac Ride OFF and your using your bike as normal. The only remaining bracket on your bike is an inconspicuous headset spacer that doesn't affect your bike. I would never try to suggest that putting kid on your bike makes it perform the same. Just thought I'd point that out. Cheers. Glen (from Mac Ride)

by Joel Harwood Race Face started producing mountain bike components back in 1992. They originally gained notoriety for their Diabolus offering, which at that time was one of the few product lines that could withstand serious abuse. For nearly twenty years Race Face produced some of the highest quality components available. In 2011, the company faced bankruptcy and many thought Race Face products were about to become collectors' items. Nevertheless, the company made it through the rough patch and came back swinging with a number of new, refined and innovative components... with a variety of colors and graphics to boot...

I'm not gonna kid myself. I like to be real. Sure a 5-800 dollar or more shock has lots of bragging points, looks cool and makes other riders think you are a highly skilled rider (and you just might be) Just like those 150.00 Nikes aren't going to make me run any faster I will just run in style right? Honestly, those high end shocks are above my skill level and I doubt they would make me a better rider (IMO) and plus I could not afford them anyway. In any-case I think they would look lame on my no...

Great review and also very informative! It's always nice to read about also the real cons with the pros because at least from my point of view that gives a lot credibility for a review. E.g. when reading some other sites' reviews it's really hard to believe they are truly being objective since they don't really bring out anything negative about the bikes. Personally I don't believe any single bike is perfect in every aspect so by claiming just that a review has no value in my eyes. This interview was far from an example mentioned above and I have...

hurricanejoel Liked a product review Tested: 2014 Trek Remedy 9 29

Review by Joel Harwood // Photos by AJ Barlas and Brad Martyn The Trek Remedy 9 29 is promoted as Trek's "ultimate technical trail bike." What better place to put that statement to the test than the Coast Mountains of British Columbia? With all of the hoopla around the word "enduro," bike manufacturers are doing their best to claim their share of the market. Truthfully, bike companies have been building enduro bikes for quite some time, but that's neither here nor there. The 2014 Remedy 9 29 is Trek's first foray into the segment using a 29-inch wheel platform. I...
