Dlongb13 - 2nd special was flat so you only had to climb back up once.

You'd have to stop and wait your turn at the start of each special. You could wait for up to 15 minutes (probably more, I don't think anyone was checking) before starting the next special. One minute gaps between riders. At the end of the 2nd Stage, you just rode through and kept it pinned if you wanted the Climber's Prime.
