You might not realize it but the dropout is around 7 inches in length and 1.5 in width but there is only about 2.5 inches of it that is not attached on the frame
I have a Morpheus vimana and I can say they are just as strong as any other slope style bike. They are held by groves in the frame that are conected to the matching groves on the dropout so they don't shift they are also held by 2, 5mm bolts on each side that are connected to a metal plate that hold the drop out tight to the frame
