Very doable as a DIY trip, too. Ice Bike does great trips, and Magne is the best. Locals are super-friendly and willing to share their knowledge as well. I wrote an article (Singletracks.com “How To Create Your Own Iceland MTB Vacation”) about my experience about 5 years ago.
