A friend built this from a normal tubeless tire and a 26" conti road racing tube tire. It Worked seemingly well. So it's not that new, and you can get it for a fracture of the price.

After using Crank Brother products over the years I developed a simple rule of thumb: Don't use them. Poorly designed, hard to get spare parts and to maintain, and totally overpriced. For 900 bucks you can get nearly every custom top of the line wheelset you can think of.
