I understand exactly what there talking about, and the feelings. I went through the same thing in 2006, and felt the same way as Dan. The difference I see is that I think Dan is stronger then I was, I'm still scared when I ride, and my mental and emotional out look isnt what it used to be. being a huge fan of racing, and mountain bikes in general, having guys like Matti and Dan on the circuit to look up to has help me get through my experience.
