Dear Vital, Great coverage as usual but be careful with your captions. I had a mechanical first run. 2nd round Wil White and I were the last two on the ridge with exposed lines and the wind picked up huge. There was no "havoc wreaked nerves or bowing out", we requested to wait until the wind died down, there was a miscommunication and we lost out on our second quali runs. totally sucked, thanks for clearing that up for everybody.

yeah thx compadres! much respect to pro snow shred ali goulet who came with chase and i on this one and put this clip together. this was day one, wait til the donkey races filter through.. quik heads up to the bros, theres gonna be a sick enduro festival in peru called "Inca Rock" next spring the week leading up to the mega. insane riding and super cheap down there.

no way kid, the cdale proto held up great. best bike i've ever ridden, 30 pounds, fox dyad shock is sick, and i was one of the only riders who didn't blow something up (cg, minnaar, polc all blew their shit to smithereens) was two seconds up at the split but you saw how it ended on the last corner.. chile next week.

qualifying for finals at santos is harder than a world cup. slugger and minnaar both won wc´s last year but didn´t make finals this year. final is just 10 dudes, super final is 5 but 200 million people watch it live. such a sick race

haha, yeah racing santos is about as violent as a minute can get...just ask cg or minnaar. they blew some stuff up this year. harder on equipment than rampage for sure, can´t believe my 30 pound proto held up so good

yeah swentz, awesome report! stoked you made it to chillan to shred w/the weones! the volcanic backcountry and snow terrain is wild there too, that's where craig kelly spent our summers. did you ride parvaso w leiva and kike? so, santos and valpo in february???

haha first run at rampage, can't believe they put these up. sent the first one straight into that bush and almost bought the farm right there. bit of a rush scrambling for that ledge. then dusted off and hit the lower section but had to eject guinea pigging that boulder hip to make the landing. good times good times. reminds me of the backcountry snow booter days..
