CSM024 Added a comment about product review ERA

@iceman2058, I did experiment with dropping the psi in the ++ chamber (up to 10 psi) to try to reduce the ramp up (while leaving the + chamber at a closer to factory recommended pressure), but didn't find a material difference when looking at the data in downhill runs. I never went much below that as the ride feel started to deteriorate (and as 10 psi is already a pretty large deviation from recommended settings), but it's probably worth testing out what happens with a dramatically lower psi in the ramp up (++) chamber.

It's interesting to read the review and the thought process that @iceman2058 went through in setting up the fork as it's similar to what I did with mine. I had the added benefit of using a data acquisition system with the fork and was able to compare it back to back with a zeb and lyric. A few things I learned over numerous testing/data logging sessions and rides: 1) the fork is very sensitive to air pressure. I initially dropped the psi in both chambers a lot to get it to feel more linear like the zeb (similar to what...

Interesting review. How about some comments on the forbidden druid?

Review by Joel Harwood // Photos by Peter Wojnar When Trek debuted the Slash in 2012, their Active Braking Pivot and Full Floater suspension technologies were considered by many to be ahead of the time. The Slash received a number of refinements over the years, but never created significant waves in the all-mountain category. Fast forward to today and the Slash has grown 29-inch wheels, shifted a few degrees here and there, abandoned the Full Floater, and is now being hailed by many to be the benchmark of what a modern enduro bike should be. We’ve been aboard the Slash...

Thanks for the response. It's interesting reading the reviews of the different bikes. I would think there would be a more material difference in reviewers' opinions of the different shock travel in the new crop of 29ers (which range b/w 140-165mm), but it really seems to come down more to the ride feel you're looking for. Some, like the yeti, have a "sportier" ride quality even though it descends very well, while the trek slash and specialized enduro have more travel and give more of a plush ride feel but don't leave reviewers with a feeling that they are faster...

Great review. Any comparisons to the yeti sb5.5 which was also very favorably reviewed by vital?

Sure thing. I haven't found a good winter flat pedal shoe yet and was hoping these 5 10 EPS shoes were the answer. There seem to be a ton of options for clipless winter shoes but not for flat pedals, which seems backwards when you're riding on ice and snow and being able to quickly bail can save you some bruises.

Really wanted to like these shoes for winter riding, but sadly they just aren't that warm. My feet were frozen after an hour and a half of riding with these shoes in temps just above freezing.
