At 6' 3" (187cm) and around 200 lbs (95kg odd) loaded ride weight, I've never had a single issue with any of my 3 Haven 31.8s (carbon and Al). They are super comfy and super stiff. I appreciate 'things must move on' to keep the industry turning but I honestly do not think that going to 35mm is a move to fix a problem that exists.And here's a nice counterpoint: http://www.ridemorebikes.com/35mm-vs-31-8mm-handlebars/
