I've done something similar with my old Vertex. It's been kinda resto modded with a bunch of componentry off a Yeti 575 that I retired a few years ago. It has a150mm Rockshox Revolution fork, chris king headset, Thomson layback seat post Rental 50mm stem and fat bar lite 20mmrise and 760mm wide, Zelvy Carbon rims laced on Chris king ISO hubs, Maxxis Minion 2.4" up front and Larsen TT 2" on the rear sram xx1 drive, XT hydro brakes, and of course Oury grips.
