5'9" tall. Was on a large Patrol with a 50mm stem. The G1's reach with a 40mm stem isn't that much longer but the wheelbase definitely is!

I had a 2016 alloy Patrol which was a great bike but I the main catalyst for the change was to try a 29er. Two biggest differences are the longer rear centre just feels so much more capable on technical rocky climbs and the overall grip front to rear when cornering. The G1 does take a bit more "muscle" when you're going fast but in my view it rewards you with more speed. The other thing I love with the G1 is that if I want to change it back to a 27.5 I can! Not that I do. Also...
