Shimano continues to refine the connection between rider and trail with the introduction of the new DEORE XT PD-M8220 pedals. Engineered to deliver greater stability and traction, the new pedals feature a wider platform, enhanced grip, and faster engagement for confident riding on technical terrain. The result is a pedal that feels planted through rough sections and predictable when it matters most.

Designed to handle aggressive riding, the PD-M8220 features a robust outer cage that helps protect the pedal mechanism from rock strikes and trail impacts. Improved sealing further enhances durability, keeping internals running smoothly season after season. From long climbs to fast, technical descents, the PD-M8220 pedals are built to deliver dependable performance across the full spectrum of trail riding. Optimized for use with SHIMANO’s new CL-MT001 cleats featuring multi-directional entry, riders can clip in from multiple angles, ideal for tight trails, technical features, and unpredictable terrain.
