2 new downhill courses have been built 90 minutes north of Pittsburgh, PA along the steep banks of the Allegheny River directly above Oil City, PA. At first the trails will only be open for race weekend August 5-6, with open riding passes available for non-racers on Saturday only. Saturday will also feature Pro/ Expert seeding runs and a Beginner fun race on an abbreviated trail. Sunday will be a USA Cycling Downhill Race with a cash purse for Pro Men and Pro Women as well as a ton of prizes for amateur classes.
Both courses are hand built for a natural feel and feature a good mix of single track chunky tech and high speed jump lines. Run times are 2-3 minutes in testing and a private shuttle road will be used for quick uplifts back to the top.

Allegheny Gnar is a non-profit organization that was founded to build new trails and organize events in an effort to raise money that can further develop mountain biking in the region, specifically focusing on gravity trails. The goal is to open these trails for more open riding after the event if the turnout is good so please come out and support these new trails in beautiful northwest Pennsylvania.
