Shimano DX Pedals
The Good
Grippy with long pins installed. Pedals come with short pins in pedals and long pins in a bag.look good after years of riding and non damaged pins can be replaced. I have had 2 sets of these pedals over several years on a Blur LT I ride for everything but DH and DJ. Work good in all conditions and replacement pins are available and i have done that. have a set on a dirt jump bike as well that are still perfect after a few years of riding.
The Bad
Pins can get ripped out and become un-replaceable. Rock strikes have taken their toll on my current set. I'm missing a few pins on each pedal right now and looking for something different in the spring. The older pedals I had seemed to last a lot longer than the newest set under same riding conditions.
Overall Review:
Great for my dirt jump bike but not the best for trail or bike bike park use, especially if it's rocky.

Grippy! No broken bits, top quality, look clean, after countless battles of Pedal Vs. Rock and they still look good :)
The Bad
The pedals screw in from the front(if smashed on a rock they wont come out), they say xc when upside down :(
Overall Review:
I've enjoyed using these pedals for the whole timeI've had them, I can only remember slipping off the pedals once or twice and I don't have the "grippiest" of shoes. I recommend the long pins if your riding All MTN or DH (they come with the pedals)
Over all very good experience with Shimano pedals

Standard Shimano
The Good
Reliable, easy to service and reasonable weight. Good size platform with plenty of grip once the pins have been swapped out for the long ones which are suplied with the pedal.
The Bad
Nothing really bad I did snap an axcel on my first set but that was after 1 and a half years of DH and some big huck to flats. Perhaps a little thick for some and they come with the short pins in and have to swap them out for the long ones which are provided in the box.
Overall Review:
Excellent when you consider the price, Standard shimano product really not the lightest but very durable and works exactly as it should.

theres a reason why so many pros out there are still sticking with these... becos they are so comfortable and grippy. love the design too... makes it look so space age ( even though its a pedal from the 90s ).
also, if u know how to service, u can actually set how fast its gonna spin.

comes fixed with microscopic pins and changing them into the longer ones which are supplied takes effort ( 40 pins in total ).
expensive for a pedals when theres cheaper alternatives out there.

the second gen of the pioneer platform pedals. amazing to see something still selling after a decade. what a classic!

Well sealed, good looking, great feel, don't rattle.
The Bad
bearings are tough to rebuild if you aren't familiar with clipless pedals.

SOLID BARING LASTED FOR A SESSION. IF THEY COME STOCK ON YOUR BIKE RIDE THEM.
The Bad
WAY WAY TO EXPENSIVE. LOOK LIKE A BRICK. AND ONCE THEIR DONE THEN ITS OVER. SO HARD TO OVERHAUL IT CAN BE DONE BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND ANY MORE ON THESE TANKS. THE PINS A TO SOFT AND SHORT I LIKE THE GRIP IN THE TOE SPOT WAS SWEET. THEN THE PINS BENT. COLOR IS TO PLAN FOR MY LIKING EVER WHITE OR SOLID BLACK WOULD BE DOPE. BUT IF YOU PANT THEM BUT ONCE YOU DO THAT'S IT FOR THE WARRANTY.
Overall Review:
WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET. I WOULD GO FOR SOME STRAITLINE SC PEDALS IF YOU WANT TO SPEND 10.00 MORE. OR GET SOME CHEAP WELLGOS THERE THE SAME PEDALS THE ONLY DIFF IS 70.00 THAT YOU CAN SAVE. AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RIDE THEM FOREVER. JUST GET SOME DEITY DECOY FOR 75.00 AND YOU'LL SEE THAT THEIR THE BEST PEDALS EVER MAKE. WAIT TELL MAY AND THEY WILL HAVE A NEW LINE UP DECOY 2 LT.

The Good
there grippy, strong, killer barings and with the larger spikes your feel will NEVER slip
The Bad
the pins bend easy and if you bend them its a pan in the ass to change them
Overall Review:
i have had these from the don on my riding and there like i have had them on ALL my bikes ( the same pare) the only bike i havent had them on is my black market which has deity wich are gripy and lighter but the dxs are still killer
overall if you can get them for less them 75$ by them them, if not by the deity decoys

Old favourite
The Good
Good if you want to wear normal trainers, and just cruise around the streets etc. Has a nice subtle concave shape to it, so your feet sit snugly into the pedal. Also has adjustable pins, if you need the added grip.
The Bad
A bit chunky if you prefer the more slimline look. And a bit dated, and also a tad on the heavy side.
Overall Review:
Excellent all-round pedal with a history and a pedigree. Perfect if you don't want to shred your trainers up.
