Took a nice digger this last weekend. 3rd time at the downhill park and I’m having a blast!
Been riding moto for a long time and it translates really well! Hit all the trails, was clearing all the jumps, throwing the bike around some!
After about 2.5 hours I started to feel really tired lol!
I was just hitting this jump line every run towards the end of the day and my hands were getting really cramped up and I was breathing heavy after it so I knew I was smoked.
Where all the trails connect to take you back to the lift, there’s a little right hand turn and a nice berm with a small jump.
Before that there’s a flat section for like 30 yards underneath the lift.
I had my hand off the bar shaking it because my hands were cramped up and I was tired.
I put my hand back on the bar but I guess I had it on there way too loose because I gave 1-2 quick strokes of the pedals and all the sudden my bars cranked backwards and I piledrived into rocky ground, right under the lift in front of everyone LOL.
I jumped up with the wind knocked out of me, arms bleeding like crazy, asking wtf just happened. Front end just washed out. I think I had too loose of a grip and front end hitting a rock combined with me making the bike uneasy pedaling and having a lazy form led to that.
Lesson learned lol. Almost needed stitches, just bruised up on my upper back where my chest protector didn’t cover and obviously arms are scraped up bad. Very stoked I didn’t break anything cus compared to some crashes on my dirtbike it was a hard slam.

I just had mine last weekend! I was climbing up to the trails with some friends, taking it nice and slow, and I was giving some right of way to my friend who was to my right. On the left side of this particular fire road, the ground is rougher, but not too terrible. I have a fairly new 29er (my first,) and I feel like it rolls over anything. Anyway, I came up on a small ledge - probably no taller than 2" - and had my right pedal at the top of the stroke. I was already going really slow, and I suppose the ledge was big enough to stall me out. Bars were turned a little bit, I got stuck in the pedals, then high-sided right over the bars and onto my head/shoulder when I tried to pedal out of it. The front wheel actually rolled backward! Haha.
I may be the only guy to ever endo going uphill!
