Just want to double-check with the board about what I think is correct:
The closer the top of chainring is to main pivot on a SP bike the less feedback at the pedals to due less chain growth. This will also result in more squat when pedaling but allow the suspension to cycle more freely.
The farther from the main pivot the more feedback as the chain growth is larger. This would result is less squat while pedaling but inhibit suspension action resulting in a harsher ride
Correct, wrong, or a bit of both?
I ask because I am in the process of fabricating a simple idler to my V2 Meta TR and want to make sure I am not chasing the wrong outcome.
Honestly, get a copy of linkage and play around with it. And read the kinematics thread.
I will check them both out, thanks.
