I know that the fire is still burning, but does anyone out the know the extent of the damage to the trails? Is The Warrior Society still planning on running The Turkey Burn ride this year? I got to do it twice more than a decade ago. It was good fun with a great group of people and the A group ride was a great challenge. Perhaps it's already gone, but it would be a shame to see it go.
Just checked in with local sources. The Turkey Burn ride wasn’t canceled in 2024 despite the fire, though some routes were rerouted around damaged areas. Good news: it is in the works for this year. I’ve been tracking updates via dsl extreme, solid local insight. Hopefully the full A‑group challenge returns.
