Will the SRAM AXS GX Fit on my Trek?

I have a 2020 Trek Top Fuel 8 with SRAM derailleur and SRAM 11-50 cassette. I want to put on the SRAM AXS GX Transmission. SRAM says it compatible with 10-50 and 10-52 cassettes. I can't find any information to confirm if it will work with my cassette. I was told by a bike shop that if my Trek has the XDR hub and Eagle 12 speed cassette it will work. I don't know what hub I have but it appears that I do have the Eagle cassette from the info on the Trek website.

I assume the XDR hub is what's used with Eagle cassettes, not sure why the hub matters since the derailleur will never know.....

Thanks for the help.

No, you cannot put a Transmission groupset on your bike.

I don't think the 2020 Trek Top Fuel had a SRAM UDH so that would be an definite 'no' since Transmission groupsets require the bike to have a UDH derailleur mount.

You also don't have an XD hub since you have an NX cassette that is 11-50; the older HG freehub couldn't fit a 10 tooth small cog so they all start at 11 instead. I know you said XDR in your post but XDr is actually the road version of XD. The comment about the hubs needing the XD mount is because the Transmission groupsets only have cassettes with XD mounts. It's my understanding that Transmission groupsets all use a 10-52 cassettes with the same jumps between gears because the derailleur is essentially programmed to only shift on that specific cassette. Not that it matters much in this case since you need a UDH too, but if your bike has Bontrager wheels most of those have an option to convert to XD and Trek stores can usually get that part pretty easily.

I ended up buying the AXS GX derailleur and it bolted right on. Chain was even the correct size.
