Want info on iron horse sunday

Iv got a iron horse sunday 2008 expert and im wanting to replace the shock with a fox dhx rc4 but have heard that they don't fit. I was wanting to know if this is true and if there is anyway to make them fit at all thanks for any help

You need to cut all the cross braces out of the lower link to fit an rc4. And go read through the sunday thread on ridemonkey if you haven't already.

By any chance do any of you know about the fitment of the 2015 rockshox vivid r2c with the sundays as that might be my other option

Thanks for that mate iv pmd a few of them so hopefully there isnt any modification needed not to keen on cutting my linkage

The 2014 and up vivid won't fit without removing a lot of metal from the link. The vivid isn't a good match with the Sunday's leverage curve anyway, it's too linear.

What new style shock is a good match for them as im wanting more new then second hand

I don't know of any newer shocks that don't require cutting the link, but cutting the link isn't difficult. The best option is probably the 2013 and older rc4, and I've had good luck with my vector hlr. Both require cutting the link.

You might consider going with an old Fox DHX 5.0 or RS Vivid (older one that fits) and sending it to an aftermarket tuner like PUSH and get it rebuilt and custom valved.
