Hi I'm kinda new to biking n was wonder if if this would be a good bike to buy. I found it on Craigslist and the guy is asking $900 and was wondering if it would be worth it.
I want to get it for trail riding and some downhill riding.

i don't think that bike would suit you well for trail riding. it'll be heavy, probably has too much travel and the bottom bracket is pretty high. for $900 i think you could find a good 5-inch travel 26" bike that was a little more modern if you kept looking.

good luck!

Nah, not if you're doing trail riding.

How tall are you?

Dang, that'll make it a touch harder finding a used whip, ya tall bastard! I think you should shoot for a more aggressive 5" bike, or even a newer 6" bike rather than an older long travel bike. Something like a GT Sanction, or a Trek Remedy might do the trick.

It's too bad the buy/sell forum here is kinda brutal... no way to filter stuff down.

If you tell me your price range, I can help you look. Love finding bikes for folks. You can PM me if you'd rather do that.
