It's definitely less Clone Trooper like than full-blown plastic body armour but still noticeable. Take a look at the pictures in this thread.

Isn't the Evo you have actually 661's low volume protector?

You may also look into the new POCs, but they are quite expensive.

Another possibility: Get the "Subgear Compression" stuff from 661 with an additional back protector (or even backpack). That's probably the lowest volume protection you can get.

I am not going to ride extreme downhill... would you suggest me an under shirt type protection (specifically the BP 7850 short sleeve ) or a long sleeve hard plastic jacket (like the 661 rage) for upper body protection?

What body armor you choose to go with can really vary depending on where you live, how much protection you want and or need, and how much you're willing to spend.

My best advice to you is take into consideration what you want and what you'll be riding, and check out our product / review section for body armor to see what suits your needs. You'll find spec, user and Vital reviews there for lots and lots of different protection.
