A few of you out there might know Evan Powell. He's recently qualified to go to Worlds this year and he's paying his own way there. He races on the 6th and then goes off to start college at UBC on the 7th. The kid is stressed right now and hustling his ass off working hard to pay for this trip, just as he has all summer.
If you can afford to help him out, he'd really appreciate it. But he's not some punk looking for free handouts, he's part owner of a small business that he and some friends started in high school. They're taking old wood and re-using it to make some pretty slick cutting boards. Since the wood comes from various sources, no two boards are the same.
So if you need a cutting board or need to give a gift to anyone soon, check out his stuff:
