I have just purchased a new 2021 Commencal Meta AM 29 ride. It comes with Shimano Deore 2 pot brakes 203 mm rotors and a friend just gave me a new set of code R brakes. Is it possible to just swap out the deores for the Codes. Are the codes compatible with the Shimano rotors

There shouldn't be any issues, since the shimano website says the rotors are compatible with organic and metallic pads. Since the bike is specced with 203mm rotors from the factory, you should just be able to bolt on the brakes and go.

Should be fine but make sure you use Shimano adapters not Sram ones as the 200 vs 203 rotor size can cause issues. You may need to adjust the height with washers if the pads don’t align on the rotors properly as far as height.

No issues, I run that exact setup on my MetaAM 29.
