So i'm planning to buy a new groupset for my mtb and I want to know if everything will fit.
I'm thinking about buying the SLX M7100 1x12 groupset.

My wheels are Mavic Crossride Light WTS 26"
On this link you can view specs
https://www.xxcycle.com/mavic-crossride-light-wts-mtb-wheelset-26,,en.php

Will the cassette fit on my current wheels?
This may be a stupid question but i'm a newbie to working on bikes.

to run 12-speed shimano drivetrain, you'll need a microspline driver (the grooved piece that the cassette slides onto) for your rear hub. it looks like this (the right side of the hub in the photo)

i would guess your rear hub does not currently have that driver (let us know what drivetrain you currently have), so you'll need to figure out if there is a microspline driver available for that hub. maybe someone here would know.

we cover 12-speed shimano xt and slx here - https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/Discover-the-All-New-Shimano-XT-and-S…

According to the wheel description in the link you provided, you cannot run a 12-speed drivetrain. The 11-speed Shimano XT group is still really great and should be totally compatible with your wheels.

Well I can't say what driver I have because I don't have the tools to take it apart.

If I buy this groupset and replace the shimano cassette with the one from the link will it still shift properly? This cassette can be mounted on a HG body.

Thanks for the reply, the XT M8000 1x11 groupset should fit and it's in my budget.
