Anybody seen the resurrected Millyard Hyper Ride shock? Stephen and Allen Millyard are running them on their trail bikes and teasing everybody.



Not many details available, but they appear to be using the same nitrogen-charged tech as the originals...

Yeah, sounds like it's based on the old platform with a little modification. I'm guessing that cube of aluminum at the top of the shock is a mount adapter. That might be all they did to "re-engineer" it.

Anyway, it's cool to see it still in action. It would be interesting to hear more about it and get a third-party review of how it performs compared to current offerings. The Millyards are pretty boastful about its performance.

Old man Millyard is a genius for sure, the bike he developed in the late 90's early 00's that looked like a bunch of scaffolding was an engineering masterpiece. I think the shock tech is utilized in Tanks/Belt driven vehicles.

Yeah sorry that 2006 I think it was and it was in Dirt mag in 2008 and again in 2014, im not sure if Allan tried selling the tech or this Nitro Shox tried the same thing but it pops up every 3 to 4 years and goes quite again. If the tech is as good as they mention why isn't there any more articles on it comparing it with the big name brands.
