FLY "Warpath" shorts

Hey all,

Purchased 3 different colors of these shorts. These shorts are the s**t, especially cuz they come with awesome padded inner bike shorts. My question is, why are the inner bike shorts sewn in with ribbon thick straps? Are we supposed to cut the straps and separate the shorts from the inner ones or what?

They are so so good arent they?... i have two pairs that have lasted 3 years... not bad...
