Position of lower crown.

Hey everyone

I have a set of 04/05 boxxer wc's and I was wondering if anyone knows how to work out the right position to place the lower crown as believe the angle is slightly wrong. Do I measure up from the top of the lowers by the travel (8")? Any help would be much appreciated.

Measure from the top of the seal to the bottom of the crown. You'll need the amount of travel the fork has (was 04/05 a full 8"?), plus a few mm extra to ensure it doesn't bottom on the seal.

Cheers bturman, it was pretty much there when I measured it (sitting approx 209mm).

Think of that as a minimum though. Depending on the track and your preference, if you still have some stanchion left over at the top, there's nothing stopping you from raising the front end and slackening it out. But since my bike is at 62 degrees and I'm very tall, I run mine as low as possible as per Butter Man's instruction.
